Saving Energy

Energy surveys and thermal imaging In the autumn of 2008, everyone in the village was invited to have their properties surveyed for energy-efficiency through the National Energy Foundation Home Action Plan. They were also offered the opportunity to have their properties thermally imaged. Thermal imaging is a very efficient way of identifying weak spots in a building's insulation. In older properties windows and doors are often particularly to blame for heat loss. Thermal cameras are now generally available for loan from local councils.
